Have you found the right vehicle? Don’t worry about its delivery. At BAS World, we offer global transport as a service for our vehicles and machines, so you don’t have to stress about how your new vehicle will get to your doorstep!
Every year, BAS World transports thousands of vehicles, both by road and sea. Our staff almost daily travel to the ports of Rotterdam or Antwerp to ship vehicles. In addition to road transport and shipping, we also handle all export and customs formalities. We aim to fully relieve the buyer of a vehicle or machine from these concerns. For each vehicle that needs to be transported, our experts and advisors determine the best transport option based on the type of vehicle and its location.
At BAS World, we always inform our customers about the expected delivery date, the delivery address, and the type of transport. All logistics within a 300-kilometer radius are handled by BAS World itself. In practice, this mainly covers the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Ruhr area. For international transport, we use our global network of accredited carriers, who first undergo a DNB check. BAS World thus only works with recognized carriers.
When a vehicle or machine crosses national borders, the buyer also deals with export, import, and customs. What needs to be arranged exactly depends on the two countries involved: where is the vehicle located, and where does it need to go? BAS World takes care of all matters related to export and customs in consultation.
Many people want to protect themselves against transport risks. This means they often opt for transport insurance, which is easy and secure. BAS World offers insurance, but you can also arrange it yourself if you prefer. However, we do recommend taking out insurance for road transport. You will automatically receive two proposals from BAS World regarding the transport: one with insurance and one without. BAS World always uses green trade plates when a vehicle needs to be transported by its own wheels in the Netherlands. This provides automatic insurance. Outside these borders, it is necessary to obtain an export license plate. This allows the vehicle to be transported to any country. Curious about the cost of transporting your vehicle? On basworld.com, you will find a transport calculator for all vehicles, located on each vehicle detail page. Fill it in to easily get an estimate of the transport costs. BAS World keeps this calculator continuously updated. This is useful, as the market is always changing, such as with fluctuating fuel prices. Transport costs depend on the condition of the vehicle, the type of vehicle, the location, and the method of transport. Is it a special vehicle? In that case, the calculator might not be able to compute the costs. This includes heavy and large machines. Contact our experts in such cases; they are happy to advise you!
